New Cupid is the singer of the line dance sensation and his own personal struggles with weight motivated the singer to take charge of health by losing 50 pounds and releasing a fitness line dance DVD called Curobiks.
On the latest edition of 2 Black Girls & a Mic, the line dancing impresario told hosts Shay Moore & Alysse Stewart that an appearance on The Monique Show on BET caused him to take charge of his health:
“When I was on The Monique Show” umm of course, it was a pre-taped show so I did the show and I saw myself on TV Shay, I’m telling you it broke me down. Like I was 240 pounds at the time and you don’t know what it takes until you see it on TV. It broke me down.”
